Coastwise offers Loss Prevention and risk assessments, concerned with observing the company’s activities and operations, identifying what might go wrong, and deciding upon what should be done in order to prevent it. The areas pertained to are:

The identification of hazards is most important since in determines the course of actions to be followed thereafter. Observation of the activities helps in achieving perfect accuracy and completeness which again can only be accomplished by a systematic risk assessment process.

Our surveying activities and reporting are aligned with all relevant marine regulations, classification rules and standards, maritime occupational health and safety, and relevant jurisdictional regulations. Based on the client instructions, other relevant rules, regulations, and standards must be clearly communicated in writing prior to acceptance of assignments. 

Coastwise treats all information and survey reports to be proprietary and the contents and/or copies shall not be made available to another party, except as defined by the clients Safety Management System documentation, or required by applicable legislation court order, legal proceedings, adhering to flag state requests or by Owners’ authorization.

 

Marine Salvage and Claims

Our surveyor are available 24/7, to attend and produce initial reports which serve and will to guide the clients and or underwriters in their decision as to whether a claim falls within the scope of his coverage, and if so, to assist the Average Adjuster in apportioning the details of work and costs involved to the respective policies. Our Surveyors are experienced and knowledgeable to the affects “Perils insured against”, as referenced:
