Ed is a dynamic marine professional with extensive experience in maritime management, domestic and international fleet operations, marine surveying, urban ports and harbour management, strategic planning that matches strengths with opportunities. An enthusiastic self-starter, with a professional attitude toward building solid business relationships. Edward's core leadership strengths are founded through entrepreneurship, private enterprise and community based organizations.
Ed's career began working within fleet management of Canada Steamship Lines (CSL) where he served several years in a management position. In addition, he has operated and managed Tug and Barges operations, dry-docks, vessel conversions, marine construction, cargo and material handling projects. His academic background includes programs from Niagara College, Brock University, Georgian College, State University of New York, Lloyds Maritime Academy and has received his Master of Science in Marine Surveying from Middlesex University in London, England. In addition, Edward has been a contributing member of several Boards of Directors and is currently Chairman of the Welland Canals Foundation.
